Hello
These past months I have been trying out different versions of Vista and linux. Before that I had 2 installs of winxp. One on C: partition and another on G:, I need to get xp back to play some games.
So I have formated the C: partition and want to boot to the G: one. I had 3 distros of linux on their own partitions but I have backed them up and formated them. Also had RC1 of vista one 1 partition and RTM Vista on another. I have formated the RC1 install.
So now the only os I can boot to is the RTM Vista OS. From within vista it is supposidley on c:
I tried running the xp recovery console to try the fixboot command but the console will not run. It will run if I disconect the HDD. It shows a blank screan after ''checking your hardware'' message.
Hope this post makes sense as I am confused myself.
Thanks.
