Hello, I am glad I found your site as it seems a lot of people are being helped out. I am haveing a hard time with my computer as of late and now I cannot even get to the web. I think the virus I have is messing with my IP configurations. Is that even possible? I have read other threads and have run AVG and House Call. I got HJT and CWShredder. I also have Mcafees newest antivirus software. Mcafee said that I have no more virusus but in my running applications I have SVCHOST like 4 or 5 times and was told this is a bad thing. Any help would be great.

As far as the SVCHOST 4 or 5 times is just fine

First download lspfix.exe from http://www.spyware911.net/downloads/LSPFix.exe. Launch the application, and click the "I know what I'm doing" checkbox. and move all instances of aklsp.dll to the remove pane(left hand) and click finish.

Run hijackthis and fix the following items. Be sure all windows are closed except for hijackthis.

Thanks for the help but I cannot get to the internet with the infected computer to get the lspfix.

Can I download it onto a different computer and transfer it to the infected computer by cd?

I I ran the lsp fix like you said and I still canot get on the web.

I ran the hjt and fixed the files you said.

I went to safe mode but could not find the 4 files you asked me to delete
