Hi... I was wondering if there was a way for you to set-up your PC so that when you visit a web-page, especially one that does not have frequent updates (sports scores...etc...) so that it is ALREADY LOADED IN.

So many times I will go to a site... and go back 10 minutes later... and the whole site... especially ones with graphics.. have to all load in again. With dial-up... this can be quite a wait.

Someone told me that there was a way to set your browser so that it doesn't check for a newer version of the page... but I don't know where that is or if that would be the key to preventing the pages from reloading on every visit.

Any ideas here would be very much appreciated.

Hello

Yes there is a way... w/ cookies enabled you can .
Go to start/settings/control panel/internet options... on General tab/Temporary Internet Files click on settings & there you can change it .

Another way to reach it is... click on tools at the top of IE's browser then Internet options .....etc

If you go to internet options\temp file\settings you will see a selection. One of those should fit your bill. I would in your case use the when you open IE.
