For About A Month Now. When I Switch My Pc On I Get A Warning From Windows Security Centre Saying Norton Internet Worm Protection Is Switched Off, And Then Recomends I Switch On Windows Firewall. I Use C.o.m.o.d.o Firewall On Windows Xp Media Centre 2005 Pc. I Have Tried To Search For This Norton Product On My System But It Appears Not To Be There. I Have Never Had Any Symantec Products On My Machine And The Product Does Not Appear In My Startup File Or Indeed Anywhere Else I Have Tried. Any Ideas ???????

It's possible that some antispyware utility that you use includes a Symantec component. If you can't find it, that may be why. If you are confidently in control of your own security just go to Security center in Control Panel and choose "Change the way security center alerts me" at the left. Uncheck the alerts you don't want.

Yes, it may have come in some anti-spyware/adware bundle that you may have downloaded.
