I need some serious help...I have SBC DSL and normally my throughput is almost T1 speed....roughly 1200kbps. I have been experiencing VERY slow download speeds. I went to dslreports.com and ran a speed test both yesterday and today. Both times my download speed was 15 kbps...Yes I said 15. My upload speed is 244. I have run my antivirus; McAfee, and also trendmicro's online scan(it took about 45 min last night just to download the new virus definition!). No virus's show up in either program. I scanned the ports at dslreports...no ports open.

Also I have been having trouble with it hanging on bootup...so I went into msconfig and deselected almost everything in the startup tab.

Also I have Spyware Blaster, Spyware Guard and recently added Ad-aware 6.0 and I ran that yesterday.

Can you see anything in my hijack this log? I am at my wits end with this!

Well, DSL requires hardware too. Bad nic card, bad cable, troubles with ISP. Those are just my suggestions.

cybertech...my modem crashed this morning and I replaced it with the spare one I had....guess what...my download speed in back to normal. Guess it must have been the modem. Thanks for your help
