Help!

I have some nasty items in my IE Tools menu that just don't seem to want to go away.

I have run CW Shredder and HiJack This! and they got rid of some - but these 2 are stuck in there pretty deeply.

I have checked my Startup Items in MSConfig and I get nowhere... Does anyone have any ideas?

I will post my highjeck this log below:

The two items are the extra button and extra tools (erotic and IQ test - erotic? eesh!). I have unchecked them, but they always come back at launch of IE.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Where is the HKLM registry?

Sadly, when i search for them the only items I get are some annoying document-folder Icons that wahtever launched these also set up...

It's like a virus, but I can't find it when i search with my virus program.

This is what I would do,

1 run adaware.
2 run spybot.
3 start>run>type regedit> select edit >type in the file you want to get rid of.

beware when messing around in the reg, can cause mega probs if you dont know what you are doing.

good luck.

Thanks... I fixed it by killing those last three things in my list and also the proxy override... One of those was the problem...

Spybot and Adware didn't help - but Hijack This! did...

Thanks everyone for their help!

Download 'Hijack This!'. http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/
Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log, load it in Notepad, and copy its contents here. Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.
