Hi, Got hit by spyware and have run several systems and is now clear. The one remaining fault though is none of my shortcuts work, either from the desktop or the start menu. I get the following error message on start up "runbll - failed to load control 'web browser' from shdocvw.dll. Your version of shdocvw.dll may be outdated". When loading new programs I get "Cocreate instance failed; code 0x80040154. Class not registered" plus a Warning 1909. I believe this means (maybe!) that a registry edit is stoppong shortcuts being created?
Help please would prevent bigger dents in my desk! thanks.
