Help booting new SSD cloned from old SSD

782 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  FredOld
I have an Alienware 13 R2, 16 GB RAM, intel core i7, NVIDIA 960M, Windows 10... And it had a 256GB SSD, but i bought a new one of 1TB.I the used EaseUS Todo to clone the old one on to the new 1TB SSD. The problem now is that i have no idea how to boot from the new SSD. So I am stuck with the BIOS screen and i son't know what to do.
I would really appreciate some help. This is really urgent. I cant't use my computer.

Look for the 'boot order' section of BIOS, and use the instructions on the screen to change boot order to allow for booting from your external. Depending on your OS, it'll probably be F9 to change boot device upon startup...

Thank you for your answer. In the end what I have done is put windows on a flash drive and installed it onto my new ssd from there, erasing all information on it, but now, when booting from the new ssd which apparently has windows on it, it doesn't work. It just takes me to a blue page saying I need to repair my pc.
I have tried this so many times and I haven't been able to get in once. Windows is theoretically on the ssd. But it just doesn't work.
