Hey, this is not a question about my computer having a problem, so i dont know if its dumb to post it here, it yes than im sorry in advance. Recently, i have been noticing that my computer does not perform in the new AAA games pretty well. I have been thinking, that it maybe is a time for an upgrade or two. The problem is, i dont know much about hardware, and dont know where else to seek help. As i am probably ready to start looking for stuff and upgrading one by one, i want to ask what to upgare first. What would be the most necessary, what is the most outdated thing in my pc, and if its worth doing anything else than just buying a new fresh computer and saving up.
My specs:
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 10 Home, 64 bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 60 Stepping 3
Processor Count: 4
RAM: 8129 Mb
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon R9 200 Series, -2048 Mb
Hard Drives: C: 237 GB (91 GB Free); D: 931 GB (170 GB Free);
Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC., B85M-G

Also, if i decide to upgrade, for example graphics card, is it smart to do it by home with a guide, or should i leave it to a professional.

AAA is of course as I am sure you know - merely triple A game not of course the actual game
selecting any game you have in mind visit the official site for that game and look at the minimum and then the ideal system requirements
When you have that either from the official site of the game or from some other site such as

then post back with the details of the named game you have selected and the specs from the site
then we may be able to advise you, until then it is very much a guessing GAME

you didnt quiet get me. What my main point is, not the games, but what should i upgrade. It doesnt matter what game for, just what i would benefit the most out of. Like what is the weakest part in my pc. My guess is graphics card, and i wanted to confirm it, and maybe get a little help choosing it and making it run.

ASUS B85M-G Motherboard
It supports a maximum of 32 GB(8 GB X 4) of DDR3-1600 RAM.
I would add another 8 GB and run it with 16 GB.

There are several model graphic cards in the AMD Radeon R9 200 series.
What's the model number of yours?

What's the brand name and model number and wattage of the power supply?

what do you mean by model number, how do i find out?
And also, how do i find out the brand name and model number of my power supply?

If you remove the side panel of the case and look at the label/sticker on the power supply and graphic card, that will provide the needed information.

From what I can determine, the AMD Radeon R9 200 series graphic cards use between 180W - 275W of power.

I got you completely
It is more or less impossible to recommend upgrades until we know what you wish to play
For instance the processor

went end of life just the other day 14 July

and although the CPU plays a lesser part in gaming than the graphics it is still an important part and some graphic cards will be bottlenecked by that processor and the speed of transfer across the motherboard bus

The motherboard has a B85 chipset and a LGA1150 socket

The honest answer is two fold
1. You will NEVER play

does not perform in the new AAA games

the latest AAA games on that setup as you may want to, nor indeed will they play well

2. You may not agree but I believe that recommending upgrades without knowing what you expect is pointless and indeed not good advice.

as the latest AAA games is IMHO too wide a question.

Therefore I wish you good luck with it but I will leave the topic with someone else, as I do not feel qualified to make a recommendation.

thanks well, what i have in mind is probably like being able to run the new upcoming ubisoft games, like AC origins on at least normal graphics with decent fps. (doesnt matter if its gonna be a while after a launch, its always unoptimized in case of ubisoft

) Or for example to run Dishonored 2 on graphic settings, that dont look too bad but still can perform well. ( In that game , it doesnt really matter because most of the settings look about the same, only small details involved and that is the reason why its so badly optimized. The thing is you can see a diffirence between low and normal options, but not between normal, high, ultra.. etc.. ) What Im saying is, that i dont need a pc that will be specially designed for lets say latest AC game, but a pc that will be able to handle most of the games on decent graphics with decent FPS. Mine pc did do this well until now, but i just feel its the time for change as the new AC is coming, and i guess i wont be able to run it well at all. I dont need something ultra where u can see every damn piece of sand, but at least let it look decent enough and still be able to get 50 -60+ fps. Hope my answer was somehow useful and im still not going on about the same thing too much. Its midnight now and it has been a hard day

yea and to add something, i will probably upgrade most parts of computer, i just need to know what to prioritize as the money flows. My vision is GPU --> RAM --> CPU. and of course, if it has to be done i may have to just build up a whole new computer (if lets say the motherboard doesnt fit well for newer stuff, but as i already said i dont know much about these things) And of course, i will need some help choosing what model of GPU and so on should i buy. What i have in mind is gtx 1060 in case of gpu, as it "should" fit my motherboard well, is decent enough for a good price. I will have to check other compatibility options like the power supply (if im not mistaken or misguided) but well, that comes in future once i know that the main problems would be solved.
