today i swithed on my computer which was fine last night and today the hard drive was making a continues clicking sound.

i didnt sound right and i got the message "error with drive c" or something like that.

i then restarted it a few times, the hard drive still making the same sound but this time it was just the windows 98 screen which i could see.

is there a way to fix this or is it broke?

I would suggest looking for a new hard drive. Most likely on its way out. If you get a new one in before it goes completely you can transfer everything to the new one.

cheers, i dont have a new one yet but i formatted the one i have and im back on windows 98.

a slight problem once i formatted..... it was a 20g hard drive now its gone down to a 2g hard drive? where has 18g of my hard drive gone?
