I own a GeForce 8600GS graphics card with 512 mb of RAM.

I was installing a new hardrive and accedentally pulled a red and black cord out...
i assume that this was a power cord, and have no idea where to plug it in. After pulling it out, I plug in my monter and it dosn't turn on, it gose to stand by. I am trying to connect it to a HT2000 Motherboard (it was installed) and have no idea with all the little pins on this thing.

I am somewhat computer savy (mostly in softwhere) an d this is really fustrating me, any help would be much appreciated
Thank you...

since the monitor doesnt do anything at startup, I would take a fair guess that the cord came from the video card. Look at the card, and see if you can see many pins sticking up where this mystery cord would fit.

If you are not sure if it goes there however, then dont try it. Dont want u to ruin ur video card
