Well I suppose you could get an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro or XT for about $200 US or so.. I guess... its like $250 CDN.

Nobody knows when it's going to be out, nobody knows what the final system specs will be, nobody knows if it's actually a game anymore. Yes, that will run it, but definitely not with full graphics, the GF4 MX series is a slightly faster GeForce2. Wait until it's closer to the release date before you buy a video card, prices will drop by then with the next generation of cards coming out....and trust me, you'll know the release date when they annouce it, it'll be everywhere...last I heard, it was 'summer'.

*drools* i can't wait for the xbox version. holy shiznit. i just relalized that instead of spending two hundred dollors on a graphics card to play it, i can buy an xbox plus the game for that much... (but i have already have an xbox- and god bless those crazy hackers who learned to put linux on it) so i'm good to go... booyah!

It will be out in june but doom3 will be out before it... that is the latest guaranteed date to be delivered to the stores... but we all know about the delays for the last 2 years haha.... I hope they are correct about this date, it would be awsome if doom3 and half life 2 came out in june at hte same time.... and there is no way that computer will play doom 3 but it may play halflife 2 with all the graphics turned down. When playing any new game they all used direct x9 usually and that video card dont support that so you would be losing out on alot if you dont upgrade I say get a new video card and maybe another 512 mb ram...

No, that system will run Doom III and Half-Life 2. Doom III is also being designed to run on lower end machines, you won't get all the spiffy graphics effects that the newer cards will give, but it will still run.

According to a couple different retail sites (future shop and EB) the release date is now either sept or nov ... so basically it is like Duke Nukem Forever and is never ever coming out, lol.

Who cares, get FarCry....FarCry is producing the same (if not better) visual quality as HL2, and beat them to it. No huge hype or anything, they just released their game. That's the way to do it. If Valve hadn't pimped out HL2 so much, I wouldn't be so mad they're not releasing it, but they keep giving release dates, and saying how good it is....just shut up and release it when it's finished, it's going to sell either way...bah, stupid Valve.
