Hi, Dijin.:)

Welcome to TSG.

  • Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
  • Doubleclick on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
  • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
  • Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
  • Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
  • Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
  • At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
  • Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
  • Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
  • Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
  • DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

If the above link is broken, try this link. Make sure you extract and save the Hijackthis.exe file in a Permanent folder, rather than a Temp folder.

Hi, Dijin :)

While TeaTimer is an excellent tool for the prevention of spyware, it can sometimes prevent HijackThis from fixing certain things. Please disable TeaTimer for now until you are clean. TeaTimer can be re-activated once your HijackThis log is clean.
  • Open Spybot Search & Destroy.
  • In the Mode menu click "Advanced mode" if not already selected.
  • Choose "Yes" at the Warning prompt.
  • Expand the "Tools" menu.
  • Click "Resident".
  • Uncheck the "Resident "TeaTimer" (Protection of overall system settings) active." box.
  • In the File menu click "Exit" to exit Spybot Search & Destroy.
Please print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.

Please download FixWareout from Here or Here.

  1. Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
  2. The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
  3. Once the desktop loads a text file will open (report.txt), you can close it - the file has already been saved.
Run HijackThis. Click "Do a System Scan Only", and place a check next to the following items (if found):

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{3739EF29-69F2-4B29-926F-49B4965785C8}: NameServer = 85.255.113.125,85.255.112.92
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{5F3FD20E-EAB3-4356-B7D6-856DF5044BCE}: NameServer = 85.255.113.125,85.255.112.92
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{8284F636-79E7-456E-8BE1-1C1DF4820DF1}: NameServer = 85.255.113.125,85.255.112.92
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{BE933F00-8F10-48FA-ABB9-1099CF07D502}: NameServer = 85.255.113.125,85.255.112.92
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{CEDDF7CB-C560-414E-9EF7-25894E7491D3}: NameServer = 85.255.113.125,85.255.112.92
O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.113.125 85.255.112.92
O17 - HKLM\System\CS2\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.113.125 85.255.112.92
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.113.125 85.255.112.92

Click FIX CHECKED. Close HijackThis.
  1. Enter your Control Panel and double-click on Network Connections
  2. Then right click on your Default Connection
    • Usually Local Area Connection for Cable and DSL, or AOL Connection.
  3. Left click on Properties
  4. Double-Click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item
  5. Select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS Servers Automatically
  6. Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen
  7. Restart the computer
Go to Start->Run->Type CMD and click Ok. The MSDOS Window will be displayed. At the command prompt, type the following and press Enter after each line:

ipconfig /flushdns (The space between g and / is needed)
Exit

Restart the computer.

Finally, please post the contents of the text file that opened earlier (you can find it at C:\fixwareout\report.txt ), along with a new HijackThis log into this topic.
