Good media software
Hi - Recently joined this forum and thought I'd plug some software that I like (all shareware).
DVD Region-Free 1.20 (www.dvdidle.com) - I'm in dvd region 4 (Australia) and have bought some dvd's from the US (R1) and the UK (R2). This software allows me to watch RPC2 (region-locked) dvd's on my dvd-rom without "flashing" the firmware, which sounded risky. Seemed to be the only program of its type.
EO Video v1.311 (www.eo-video.com) - I was looking for an application that would convert RealMedia clips to AVI or MPEG. This does; also converts .wmv and quicktime clips as well. Sweet
Fully functional 30 day trial.
Womble MPEG Editor v3.13 (www.womble.com) - edits MPEG clips including MPEG-2 format (good for editing high quality clips ripped from dvd). Basic transition effects too.
After surfing the web for over 3 years now, I'm surprised to still come across great software that I've never heard of before (like Spybot, which I first heard about at this forum). Anyway, hope this was of some interest.
