What are some games you people would recommend for PC? I've already got Doom 3, just started playing, all the Steam things, NFSU2, GTA3:Vice city, Halo, And WarcraftIII: Frozen throne.

It doesn't really matter what genre, just good games, I play anything

LoTR:Battle For Middle Earth is probably the best RTS I have ever played, and I have played many other RTS games.

This game ins't out yet, but Brothers In Arms is looking to become the best WW2 first person shooters ever created (also coming to all consoles)

I agree, call of duty is excellent. But, see if you can get the update cd for United Offensive. You can sprint, and use tanks and jeeps online.

The multiplayer gaming is excellent, and there are quite a few new maps coming out. I seem to get stuck on the one server at the moment, and its a Merciless one. You have to install it, but the effects are great.

Also, on the server I'm on, they have a 50 map rotation, on team deathmatch only. And these keep building up, as more maps are made. One, if you're a fan of Lord of the Rings, is Esinguard (sp). The tower where Gandolf is on top of is great for snipering.

By the way, I like the sniper rifle the best :D

Max Payne. Great shooter game.
Max Payne 2 has already been out for about a year now LAN. ;)

For Roleplaying Games, Planescape: Torment, Fallout 1/2, and Baldur's Gate are all oldies but goodies.

Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines came out last year, and it's the best RPG I've played in a long time.

Rome Total War is the best RTS of the year, it totally owns Battle for Middle Earth, even with my fondness for all things Middle Earth. Best of all, you can actually learn quite a bit about that time period from the Historical battles!

Shootery games, Half Life 2 is really fun, though some people have issues with Steam. I'll agree with McTimson on the vote for Unreal2k4, that game rules for LANparties.

Stealth Games, I'd have to go with the Splinter Cell series, and the Hitman series. Both of which have new games coming out in 1-2 months. :D

Theif: Deadly Shadows!

Not only does it have a nice story line its all about stealth and evasion and is VERY realistic. I.E. the more shadowed the character the less likely he is to be noticed, walking around does not bring as much attention as running around. Also charachters are "faction based" so you can choose to be mean to them and kill them or do tasks to help them and have them be friendly to you. (Or do both in moderation)

I have to admit its a LONG game though. Sometimes sitting in a dark place waiting for someone to move may take a few mins for you to be comfortable that your moving may not alert them to your presence.

Halo was kind of a disappointment. Kill, kill, and kill some more. Hard to figure the game out also. It is decent but if I had it to do over I wouldn't bother with it.

Halo 2 I am not sure of, I'll wait a few months after its PC release and read how people are talikng about it. Doom 3 was the last game I had to have without waiting. The hype was big on it and it was a disappointment also.

I've got the demo, I'llhave to give it a try.

I was disappointed with Quake3 for the same reason. Kill kill kill, no strategy at all, just point, click, and kill.

Once you finish Max Payne, you need to get the second installment, the Story is what kept me playing. Story is way better than in the first one. <3
