I'm pretty ignorent about videocards (currently runing a OEM Voodoo 3). The specs sound better on the R9600, 128 bit vs 64, and a faster clock. Plus the R9600 has some good reviews where the GF doesn't have any yet for that manufacturer.

The only thing that is keeping me from buying the 9600 this second is the testing from :

saying the GF performs better (but was a worse deal at the time because it was much more expensive). I'm just curous as to which is the better card, and which i should buy for my new system.

Note: 2d quality is important to me because of emulation quality.

Well, i think i found out my answer. Unless I'm mistaken, the XT reference in the GF means that its crippled. So an XT radion is a good one and an XT Geforce is a bad one...i think. lol, crazy videocard lingo.

Methinks the 9600 has my name on it.
