Getting Exact Matches With Internet Searches

Is there a way to get an exact match to your search criteria with the Firefox browser? In the old days, this was so easy using quotation marks, which Firefox seems to ignore.

What are you using as a search engine in Firefox?
Have you tried a different search engine to see if you get better results?
I did not word my question well. I use Firefox, but either the Google search engine or Duck Duck Go. Google is better, but still gives me results that are not exact. To use a simple example I get a lot of hits containing oranges and/or apples, when my search criteria in quotes is "oranges apples"
Because there are no exact matches to "oranges apples" it will only show related items.

Thanks, I'll use those operators.

You may also want to try the single quotes operator.
For example, 'Bill Gates'.
