Getting a new laptop, what should I get?

Hi all, I'm in the market for a new laptop. I'd like to only pay around $600 or so. I'm looking for something basic with a new OS, good RAM, good processor, and fast. I'm not playing games on it, just basic work stuff and streaming Netflix! 2 offers I've found on slickdeals are:
