Hi I can not find a used monitor that works with my brand new Gateway computer.. all monitors I have tryed give me multiply screens on one screen can anyone help?

not quite sure what you mean,if you mean a 3d picture reinstall the video drivers

I thin k waht is happening is your default resolution is set to something that the monitor is not design to operate at. what you need to do it start your computer in safe mode. as yo boot the computer press the f8 key and start in safe mode with mouse support. then right click o our desk top and lower your resolution. You are probably going to want to operate it at 800X600 resolution.. set your resolutio to that then turn the computer off through windows and reboot

Your monitor should display properly after that.

The problem is most likely that the used monitors you are trying are VGA monitors; limited to 640x480 resolution. Monitor prices are low enough today that you should be able to purchase a new monitor that will work with your computer.
