I've been playing a game called Empire Earth: The Art of Conquest for years. When I played it on my spyware-infested 1.4 gigahertz pentium 4 512 MB ram desktop the game played fine (I know, it's a miracle). Now that I've upgraded to my Dell Inspirion 5100, with 2.8 gigahertz pentium 4 processor, and 256 MB of RAM, and a Radeon 7500C 32MB video card, the game runs like crap! I'm running Windows XP, and I clean my computer regurally (software wise). I run AVG, spybot, adaware, and Zonealarm. I'm pretty sure it's not a virus, since reinstalling Windows didn't work.

Whenever I play this game online, it will run fine for 20 minutes, and then it will start skipping (lagging that only I feel) on and off, until it becomes unplayable. PLEASE, HOW CAN I FIX THIS? MY COMPUTER IS MORE THAN CAPABLE OF RUNNING THIS GAME. I have a friend that runs it flawlessy on 1.3 gigahertz celeron processor, with integrated graphics, and 256 MB ram. This obviously isn't right, and I feel as if I've tried everything. Damn you Windows!

damn you dell.

and change your title to something other than Gar!.

tell us what the problem is about in the title, so you attract people who might know something about your issure.

unfortunatley for you, i dont know where to begin with your problem. however, i suggest you double that ram and throw in a different (better) graphics card.

*check for updates/patches for the game, graphics drivers for your card, etc, since this is a new comp.

All my drivers are up to date, the game is up to date. And like I said, I shouldn't NEED to upgrade the RAM, since ANY system can run this game, and my graphics card can't be upgraded since it's a notebook.

think about the size. the desktop is much bigger, and it is much more powerful. although you may have similar specs, theyre made for a notebook, and the average notebook is not designed to handle gaming. unless its Alienware.
