Here's an interesting incident. I was playing games on Gamespy last night, and I disabled my firewall so that I could host games. Suddenly, my virus program {mcafee online} started reporting that I had viruses. Opaserv, Opaserv.m, and Opaserv.i. There was one other, but I can't recall the name. Mcafee cleaned them all, but I still had to go in and remove the lines it added to my win.ini, and to my registry. Since then, I have scrubbed my machine with a steel brush, I have scanned boot sector etc. This happened to me a month ago, and at that time, I also had the brasil virus, and I did the same cleaning process. I'm not sure if it is from Gamespy, or if it's something else, however, I've been online and rebooting the machine all morning, running scans, and no viruses. Any ideas? Is it possible for other members on gamespy to send viruses out to others?
