Games, sound but no video...

When trying to play 'Discworld Noir', 'Monkey Island', 'Wargasm' etc. I load the CD (after installation) and I can hear the soundtrack, but no visuals - the monitor remains on standby.. anyone had this problem?

You need to look at the packaging for the minimal requirements to run the games and see if all your hardware is up to speed. Go into the BIOS and turn off all power managent. Also check if you have the correct version of DirectX and see if all your drivers are certified for DirectX
