Game freze after update

hi
when playing cs the game freezes after few minutes. this problem started when i updated windows XP. any suggestions?? or can i remove this update if so how? tried to start the cp whit yesterdays option but the update didn't go away. this is the updates made:
security-update for Windows XP (KB835732)
security-update for Windows XP (KB828741)
security-update for Windows XP (KB837001)
Q831167: important update

win xp pro
AMD Athlon xp+ (1,67GHz)
256MB ram
GF FX 5200
KD 7x6A
