Galaxy S8 connected to Bluetooth speaker but wont play music

Hi,

My Galaxy S8 says it's paired and connected for call and media audio to my Sony SRS-XB3 Bluetooth speaker, but when I play music or a video, nothing comes out of it. I tried to reset the speaker and unpair and repair my phone with it, but it still doesn't work.

I'd appreciate any help I can get on this. :)

Note: the only bluetooth devices I own are keyboards so I can't help with speaker problems.
