Hello,

Our galaxy is slowly swallowing another.

http://www.anzwers.org/free/universe/galaxy.html

"The Milky Way galaxy - a spiral galaxy of at least two hundred billion stars:-

"Our Sun is buried deep within the Orion Arm about 26 000 light years from the centre. Towards the centre of the Galaxy the stars are packed together much closer than they are where we live. Notice also the presence of small globular clusters of stars which lie well outside the plane of the Galaxy. the presence A nearby dwarf galaxy - the Sagittarius dwarf - is slowly being swallowed up by our own galaxy."

Hope you enjoy the site.

Bye,
Penny. :)

Very Cool Penny and thanks for the link ;)

Also our sister galaxy: Andromeda is heading for us, as it gets closer it will get much bigger. But that will take many billions of years.

The dynamics of our own galaxy are not totally understood by us yet and I am sure there is alot more to learn.

We need to keep searching for all the answers that still await us in the Cosmo's

what a grand puzzle it is! ;)
