I hope someone out there can help ??

I have just been infected (last 4 days) with the FURootkit virus, where my VC (McFee Security Centre) keepd telling me that the virus has been deleted, but it keeps re-spawning (msdirectx.sys) in the folder C:\Documents and Settings\Serve. I have turned off the system restore, and run the VC in safe mode, but still it keeps re-appearing. I have tried (and failed) to get rid of it using quite a few anti spyware progs, but still no joy......
I have printed a log from Hijack, and have been told that someone on here, might be able to point me in the right direction to get this thing off my system.....

Please help....

Many Thanks

Hi Bulldog99

Welcome to TSG! :)

Open Hijack This. Click on the "Config" button in the lower right corner. Now click on "Misc Tools" then under "Generate Startup List" put a check by "List also minor sections (full)", "List empty sections (Complete)" and "Calculate MD5 of files if possible". Now click on the "Generate Startup List" button and copy and paste the contents of the list back here in a reply.
