When deleting the temp files (navigating to C:\WINDOWS\temp), there was a file that it did not let me delete. It said that the file was not accessible and I should check if the disk was full or write-protected. The file was called 1632 inside the folder hsperfdata_SYSTEM. I had to skip over this in order to delete the other files in the folder. Is this something malicious?

Also, with msconfig, when I restart the computer I get a dialog box that says msconfig is running in diagnostic/selective startup mode and that I should put it to normal mode to go back on my changes. Is this ok or do I have to do something to make it stop?

It's normal that some temp files cannot be deleted so don't worry about that.

The message you're getting just means that you're running in selective startup so the next time you get that, just put a check mark in the box and click OK and you won't see that message anymore.
