I have a laptop and my son installed an update to Windows XP. I had not used my laptop for quite some time as I was ill. Now we can not get on to anything because it asks for my password as soon as it boots up and we have tried every one we've thought of and none will work. What can I do???

If it is the logon Windows password, can you login with the adminitrator's account. Often the password for this is blank.
Otherwise there are 3rd party programs that will let you reset any user accounts password. Previously the admin has requested that the links for these not be posted. But you can try searching the Internet.
