Folder Views..

Is there any way (other then apply to all folders) to pick a group of folders to have the same view options. I have several hundred cds on my computer and i want to be able to pick all folders, set there views to details and have only name and duration in the columns. Id also like to have a default size for all the windows. If anyone can help me out with this it would be greatly appreciated as i dont want to have to pick each of hundreds of folders and have to manually resize, pick details, and change the columns, this would take hours. Thanks in advance.

oh, I don't really know. Just a suggustion to try is put all the folders under the same main folder and set the default window size and details, ect for that one, and it might do it for all its subordinate folders. It might be worth a try. Other than that, I think you are stuck. Maybe someone else has ideas.
they are all under one folder entitled my music.
well here is a partial solution. I have Me and I don't know what you have, but it shouldn't make a difference. Go to the folder that has my music in it. Right click on it and create a shortcut to desktop. If you open that shortcut and resize the window before moving to sub folders then that is your default size and position for that folder and all folders in it, only you will have to use the shortcut you made for it to work, but then it might be useful as it sounds like you use that folder a lot.

As for the default details, that one I don't think you can do. You might be stuck. You could try gathering all you cds in a program to and in that you can specify your view and you will always get it when you are in cd to cd. I use Real Audio Jukebox because I use that program to rip cds, and then play cds out of there and that works fine. You can specify your detail prefrences like you wanted. I also use Winamp to collect my many thousands of music files in one area. I like that program... it works pretty good. You can specify your default details, window size and position and very easily jump between tracks, and it can be organized by name of group, tittle of cd, ect. It is a free program and you can get it HERE Its pretty nice. That may be your best bet. Sorry I'm not keeping my train of thought too well but bear with me.
