Sounds like a faulty drive. Regardless of media status, the drive should be recognized and provide name/specs.

Flash Drive ReadOnly, file/directory is corrupted and unread
I have a 1TB Flash drive that currently has the "file/directory is corrupted and unreadable" error. I have used the chkdsk command but to no avail due to "read-only" status on my flash drive.
When I tried using diskpart to remove the read-only attribute on my flash drive, the "current read-only state" value still persists as "yes" (I also have changed the WriteProtection on regedit to 0).
I looked on the internet and used the AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard Edition in hope to change the "current read-only state" to "no", but the AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard Edition identifies the Flash Drive as Offline (maybe because of the problem with "file/directory is corrupted and unreadable" and I have checked that the disk is "online" on diskpart)
To change from RAW format to NTFS, I need to format it (I don't care about the data inside), but I can't format it because of "Current read-only state". How can I fix this (where do I start from? The error on its read-only or the error on its corrupted file directory?)

My Flash drive is corrupted, and to fix it I used chkdsk, which is blocked due to its read-only attribute. And when changing the read-only attribute, the Flash Drive is not "Online" based on AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard Edition which I am guessing because of the corrupt file directory (a loophole?)

Type: exFAT (based on diskpart)
No partitions on Flash Drive (based on Disk Management)
Partition Style is MBR (Master Boot Record)
