Please look at the screenshot.

You will notice duplicate entries in my All Programs.
How is this possible?
Is there any error in Windows.
Is this a Virus?

I am not deleting those entries because I don't know the exact cause.
Please help.

type Dir /X in the command prompt. That will show the short name for the folders, which should be different. The duplicates may have a space or another non-printing character at the end.

Sorry for replying late. Actually I didn't received the notification email.

Now look at this screen shot

Is there any difference? Window Movie Maker.lnk is displayed two times
and its shortname WINDOW~2.LNK is also displayed two times.

Same happened with others.

Seems there's been some glitches in the notifications lately, I've not received a few either.

I don't have an answer for this, unless it is somehow displaying entries from each Users Program folder as well as for the All Users Program folder. Whyu it would do this I don't know, unless it's a feature of some software you've installed. I'm not aware of any explorer addons that would do this, but there's a lot of them I've never heard of as well.

I've written a little batch file that will do a Dir of the All Users folder and the Current Users folder so we can check for duplicates, and check to see if it's displaying files from a different folder as well. Copy and paste the following code into Notepad, then save it on your Desktop as DirLog.bat. Be sure to change the Save as Type box in notpad to All FIles before saving. Then just double click the file to run it.
It will create a file on your desktop named DirLog.txt, it will most likely be too large to copy and paste (mine is 70 KB), but you can attach it to your reply. If using the Quick Reply box at the bottom of the thread, click the Go Advanced button, then scroll down to find the Manage Attachments button which will let you browse to the file and upload it.

This also reads each subfolder, so I've set it to remove the C:\Documents and Settings\username\Start Menu\Programs part and replace it with either All Users or Current User so it won't display any usernames for those subfolders, but if it finds items from a different user's folder, that entire path will be in the file, so it may include usernames from your system.

Code:
@Echo Off
SetLocal EnableDelayedExpansion
Set _Logfile="%Userprofile%\Desktop\DirLog.txt"
If Exist %_Logfile% Del %_LogFile%
Set _LogFile=^>^>%_LogFile%
Set _Path1=%AllUsersProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\
Echo.Please Wait, reading All Users
Call :_Read "All Users"
Set _Path1=%Userprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\
Echo.Please Wait, reading Current User
Call :_Read "Current User"
Echo.Finished
Pause
Goto :EOF
:_Read
Echo.%1%_Logfile%
Set _Comp1="%_Path1%"=="%%~dpI"
PushD "%_Path1%"
For /F "tokens=1 Delims=" %%I In ('dir /on /b /s') Do (
Set _CPath=%%~dpI
Set _Cpath=!_Cpath:%_Path1%=%1\!
If %_Comp1% (Echo.Path OK%_Logfile%) Else (Echo.Path=!_Cpath!%_Logfile%)
Echo Names=%%~snxI %%~nxI%_Logfile%
Echo.%_Logfile%
)

Is anybody else getting a AdultFriendFinder pop-up when they click on the image in the first post, or is it just me?

The cookie's 'Referral_URL' indicates it's coming from the image page.

I'm getting it too. I think it's just one of the imagevenue.com website's advertisers, so it's not anything Mike would have any say over.
