Man I am having problems, my autoexe.nt keeps disapearing from my sytem 32 file and I have replaced from repair file.

Also I had a large File of music disapear on my 160 WD HD, but when I check the drive it stills show the large amout is still on my HD, It must be about a 50 or 60 gig amout that was in the file of wave files, so the file is gone but the information appears to still be there.

I am disabled and have no income coming in, so I have not updated my Norton antivirus, so I downloaded AVG and it gets about half way of updating and stops. I have used adAware and Spysearch and have cleared some things. But I dont know what is going one.

When I boot up now I am getting a screen showing something about the other partion on this drive " Drive G: is formated NTFS"
"One disc needs to be checked for consistancy" then it does a check of drive G I suppose ans say ok, but it is drive F that I lost the file on. I have tried to run WD Lifegard Tools and they will not start. Here is a Copy of Hijack this. If anyone has any Ideas I would apreciate it. I have programs that are not running right also

For this problem, u might copy the file, then u check "read-only" in the properties of the autoexec.nt.
You need to uninstall Norton before you install another anti virus program.

Also for the autoexec.nt problem, have a look here:

This installaton program will reinstall the missing or corrupt Windows XP system files command.com, autoexec.nt and config.nt. The absence or corruption of one or more of these files causes a "16 Bit Subsystem" error.

We recommend that you download this file and save it to your desktop or to another location where you can find it. Double click on the file to run it once it's downloaded. If problem reoccurs in the future, simply re-run this program.

A file disapeared that is almost the whole size of one partion on my 160 gig WD hardrive, The file is gone but all properties show the material is still there, I can move all other files from this drive and it is still full with nothing showing in it, I mean no files in it. You can defrag it and it still shows around 55 gig full or say over 3/4 full with nothing in it. I think my file is still in there, and I would like to retrieved it if at all possible. Any Ideas. Thanks for the autoexe.nt help I apreicate, I got rid of all my spy ware, and that has not happened anymore. I also left out a piece of information, I have evidence eliminator, that I run ocassionally to clean out non essential stuff. Thanks for all your help.
Just popping this back to the top to see if anyone else has any ideas.
