I have an NT/2000 network with 10 PCs. We're having a number of files (and some folders) we work with having their dates set to 2015 (but current mo/day). We have most recent anti-virus softare and defs, have checked all system dates of all machines (they all show 2001) and have searched Symantec and other sites for possible virus infection (nothing comes up). Any ideas??

Additionally, any ways to change file/folder dates in the OS?

Thanks.

What file types and what folders are generating the bogus date? Does it occur when files or folders are created form a particular workstation? I would suspect the server for the folder creation part as the file system will generate the date once the folder is created. Is the server in question using any time synch application over the internet? Give some particulars as to when and how the invalid date is created.

This is just a thought. Excel97 and Excel2000 date macros if configured incorrectly using 2 digit year entry improperly sequenced cause an error code 2015. Strikingly similiar to the sporatic date appearing mentioned. Does someone have a macro designed for input that could be causing this? Is it one particuliar job function these files and folders are associated with? It may be a wild thought but what the heck!
