Whenever I Copy and then Paste a file in a new folder, everything works as it should.
However, whenever I use Cut and Paste or Drag and Drop, the resulting file is corrupt and cannot be opened.
In some instances, the corrupted file cannot even be deleted.
If I undo the move, the file is moved back to its original location, but it is still corrupt and cannot be opened.
And here is something really strange along the same lines:
I made a full backup of the data on my C drive using NTI Backup Now! v4.5) to a USB drive.
I loaded the same version of Windows XP on a new C Drive and restored just the data files to it.
The new drive will boot normally, but most of the data files are corrupt and cannot be viewed or even deleted.
However, if I place the original C drive back in the computer and then access the second drive, all the data files are back to normal.
Any help would be appreciated.
