I've just had a new PC at work with Windows XP Professional on it. Initially, it came with Photoshop 5.5 on it but I wanted Photoshop 6.0 instead so this was also installed, in addition to 5.5.
I therefore decided to uninstall 5.5. This worked fine and left me with a fully working 6.0 but the file associations were lost for extensions such as .gif and .jpg.
No problem, I though - just got to folder options and reassociated these extensions with Photoshop 6.0. The problem is that, when I try to do that now, Photoshop doesn't come up in the "Choose a program from the list" option. So I browse for it, select Photoshp.exe, but still it doesn;t add it to the list or accept the change.
Any idea why and/or how else I can get Photoshop to be the default program for most of my picture files?
Thanks,
Steve
