I recently bought a new Omen 15 ax-200 laptop. and for the first three weeks it ran fine. Then suddenly I turned it on earlier today and the fan immediatly went to very high speeds before it went into thermal shut down. Even though the computer was completely cold when this happened. I managed to get it to stay on by clicking enter on the thermal shutdown error on startup. (For some reason it doesn't shut down if I click enter but does if I dont.) However, the fans are still on high and remain that way for the duration it is on. This doesnt seem healthy to me even if the computer works fine while it is on.
Additionally, when I turn the computer off normally and turn it back on again. I still get the thermal shutdown error regardless of the fact that I turned it off.
Computer specs
Intel core I7
8GB RAM
VIDIA GeForce GTX 1050
Windows 10
I will happy to provide any other infomation if I can.
A quick google for this type of issue tells me its to do with the heat sink and while that does make sense to me I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions.
Thanks.
