i'm on a one month old Hp envy x360 2 in 1 laptop. it only has 128gb storage on it's internal hard drive so, i needed an external hard drive (wd 1TB my passport) to bolster it with all the files i have for school. it told me i had to do a software update and restart my computer. After it updated, the first restart, i couldn't use the tablet mode or bluetooth pen. 2nd no touch screen sensitivity at all. 3-5th, i can't access my external hard drive with all my assignments on it, "windows does not have access to this drive". it keeps telling me to format my disk but, i don't want to loose my work.

Im not sure if this is relevent but, everytime i start my computer, it says BIOS image or something like that failed to load

Can you try the external drive on a different computer ? You might be able to copy those files from it if that works.

Please tell us the exact text of that 'Bios image' message if you see it again.
