I am looking for an external hard drive large enough for multiple computers (approx 10) majority of the stuff will be text documents. i need something that can last at least 5 years, hook up to a printer for scanning, and has password restriction options.

i have heard the WD 12tb my book duo desktop raid external hard drive is pretty good.
i would love some feedback or any reccomendations

12tb of text?? Thats like every text ever printed in the history of mankind. I wouldnt get a 'manufactured' usb drive, (maybe usb3? maybe esata?) get a case & a 2½ or 3½ desktop/laptop drive & a usb case & a padded case for carrying.

(just bein' flip, 12tb is a whole lot of text!)
