That path also mentioned sdcard. Do you have an SD memory card inserted ? It maybe on the SD memory card.
export contacts file kindle hdx7 - can't find file
Anybody know where the contacts app on my Kindle Fire HDX7 would save the file it prepared for export?
It tells me it's going to /mnt/sdcard/00001.vcf but I can't find a folder called mnt anywhere!
I wanna get my contacts transferred to my new tablet.

Unfortunately the HDX7 doesn't have a card slot. By sdcard I can only imagine that it means the hardwired memory of the tablet.That path also mentioned sdcard. Do you have an SD memory card inserted ? It maybe on the SD memory card.
mnt is a standard Linux folder for mounting external drives - like sd cards. You would find that folder usually from / or the outer most directory.
Don't know specifically about Kindle, but that screen shot does not look like the outer most directory: those folders were created by you. On a Linux system, you would see /bin /usr /home and many others. It looks like you are within a /home folder and cannot get out of it.
They are all folders created by installing programs or by pre-loaded programs on the tablet. I didn't make any of them. Tried searching for the file extension (vcf) and searching for the folder that it says it's in (mnt) comes back as no results! It's kind of maddening!Use the search box on the top right corner and see.
Then the Kindle is trying to protect itself by not letting a user mess with the system folders. You are indeed stuck inside a 'home' folder - it is like the Users folder of Windows 10, except that when using an admin account on Win 10, you can change everything - all folders.
Is there an Export option from the Contacts app?
