I have a column of times shown in minutes and seconds eg ( 15:25)

I would like to auto sum the total time.

Any suggestions please.

That's what you think, possibly. First we need to check.

Click on the "15:25" and check the formula bar. If it says

15:25:00

, it's actually 15 hours 25.

Outstanding! I got the t-shirt for crimbo & am wearing it as we "speak"!

I'm afraid so. If you have a load of duff values already, you'll need to correct them. Enter 60 in a free cell & copy it. Select the duff values then Edit -- Paste Special -- Divide.

(Sorry, in a hurry)

That operation should convert your values to decimals, e.g. 15:25 goes to something like 0.010706.

Just select these, then Format -- Cells -- Number -- Time. Use something like 37:30:55. Once you have those, just sum with e.g.

=SUM(A1:A10)
