Excel Esc Key not working

4909 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  OBP
I have a new Laptop with Windows 10. I just downloaded Office 365. When using Excel on other computers, if I enter something that I want deleted I usually hit the Esc key and it does the trick. On this new laptop the Esc key is not working for that purpose. I have looked everywhere and most people say to close Photoshop. I don't have photoshop on this computer. The only thing I have is microsoft office, chrome, avast security software and One Drive. Someone please help!
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office 365, I have tried closing all programs except Excel and nothing seems to work.

Go into BIOS, turn off the splash screen. Reboot and see if the ESC key stops the RAM counting. ( since I don't know of any other app that can test the ESC key ). If the ESC key doesn't stop the RAM counting, then the ESC key itself is not working, not just in Excel.
Have your keyboard drivers been compromised by a download, Office 365 inthe OPs case?
