If you've got lots of drawn "parts" to the graphic(s), see if you can't get them all into a Word doc, select them all and group them to make them ONE object. Then paste back into Excel. A bunch of drawn objects that "create" one drawing generally cause problems in Word too, so I'm hoping that'll help.
