Excel 2000: Graphics does not show because of not enough system resources.

Hi.

I use a worksheet that shows the layout of booths in an exposition. The worksheet has an inserted picture of a map, text boxes, auto shapes, fill colors, borders, etc. The size of the worksheet is 69KB. My computer's operating system is Windows 98 and has 128MB of RAM.

My problem is that while I am editing the worksheet, I encounter 'Not enough system resources to display' and basically can not view the inserted picture and text boxes in the worksheet. This usually happens while I am changing the zoom/magnification level. The only other prgrams running are Outlook, Windows Explorer, and some tray icons (ICQ, Norton Anti-Virus Protect, & Task Scheduler).

What's going on and how do I fix it?

If I gave you this link already, I apologize, but make sure you're hard drive is cleaned up:

If you've got lots of drawn "parts" to the graphic(s), see if you can't get them all into a Word doc, select them all and group them to make them ONE object. Then paste back into Excel. A bunch of drawn objects that "create" one drawing generally cause problems in Word too, so I'm hoping that'll help.

Thanks for posting a reply! I just sent you the file. Thank you too for the hard disk clean up link. I tried your solution to group all the graphics into one object but I was loosing resolution. Interesting solution though. I can probably use it in the future for something else.

Please let me know if you spot anything in the file I sent you.

PS. Oh, I have auto save on for Excel. Could this be the culprit?
