Hi,
Go to Start > Run> Services.msc
Scroll down to the Event Log service, doubleclick it, set it to "disabled", and click OK.
Wait a moment for Windows to complete that action.
Now reboot, open Windows Explorer, navigate to Windows\System32\Config, and delete the corrupted file (either Appevent.evt, Sysevent.evt, or Secevent.evt)
Go back to Services.msc > Event Log, and reset it to "Automatic".
Press "Start" to restart the service.
Cheers,
