Ethernet Wires Cut

Hi,

I have a block of office where by mistake the ethernet cables where cut by the construction guys.

However, on the side of the HP switch (in our server room) the wires are still connected - since we don't know exactly which wire terminates where.

Does that cause any kind of issue or represent any risk?

As long as you don't mix power or telephone cables with the cut wires, there's no significant risk. Time to start fixing cables.

Well, it'll be a tech's nightmare when all the cables don't go where they say they go, but besides that, it shouldn't be a huge problem.
