(Let me start with PC specs, its very powerful Nvidia Gtx 2080 ti, 1000 watt power suppley, i9 10900k processor,64gb ddr4 ram,Its definitly not a bad pc causing these problems)Hi, recently Ive been noticing that my ethernet speed throughout the day begins to get slower and slower, going to nearly 30mbps on a 1000mbps connection. With ethernet in the past i would get no less than 400mbps, and thought that the recent problems were due to a faulty cord. However upon replacing it i would see upon start up my speed would be around 300-400 which is normal, and then later after being powered on for more than 3-4 hours, it drops to nearly 30-60mbps. I am on my pc very late at times usually into the early morning, however i dont believe its due to my isp throttling my internet. When checking the speeds of my playstation and my younger brothers pc at the same time, the speeds of those are much faster than mine(both bounce around 300-400mbps). Im starting to believe my NIC card is faulty however i would like to know what anybody thinks might be the problem? Ill gladly take any advice. I also will admit i did at first suspect throttling due to me downloading manga using an extension on firefox, and these problems did start happening around this time. However i read that if your isp was to throttle you they couldnt do it to one device individually. They would throttle your entire network, however this isnt the case as like i said every other device gets great speed. Let me know what you guys think and thanks for giving this a read!
