I checked the ram and it's in there correctly and I did pressed down on them until the clasps clicksCheck to see if RAM is wobbly - there is a notch on the RAM stick but it is not in the center, so it can only be inserted one way. Pressing firmly on both ends will cause the clasps on both ends to click shut. Usually if RAM is not inserted properly machine will not boot, but maybe yours is different.
Since Ethernet is part of the mobo, you will have buy a $15 card if it is faulty.

I'll try contacting the manufacturer and yes I've try resetting the biosIf it's a new machine as the poster indicated, then the best option is to contact the manufacturer.
While RAM and the network card are not mutually exclusive, it could interfere but I am not sure why.
Have you tried resetting the bios back to default?
So I did reset my router and then troubleshoot the ethernet from the control panel and now it says "The default gateway is not available"If no exclamation mark

It is saying unidentified network no internet.
I assume that when you look in device manager it shows the network card without an exclamation mark!
