I have recieved the a error code 80072efd when I try to log on to Microsoft messenger or hotmail.
When I go to the microsoft troubleshoot page I get a new message Unable to connect to server.

I have XP

Can anyone come up with a fix which a thickie might be able to do?

I cannot complete forms or do any online shopping...is this related?

Sadly not...it scannned and found loads of errors but when I tried to fix it took me to the "cannot find server" page exactly as if i was trying to get onto a microsoft site...any more ideas and thanks anyway

Hi Apple1956,

Try a System Restore.

Stsrt > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.
Select a date just prior to the start of your problem.

Please be aware that you will lose any critical updates / installed software since the selected date ( there will need to be re-installed ) but your data ( Word files , photos etc ) will be o.k.
