I have a 200GB SATA HDD, partitioned C:\ 40GB for windows XP Pro and the rest 138GB E:\ for my files.

Almost every time i open ( Files e:\ ) i get a file protection error, error 86, upon clicking ok on this error box my desktop sort of refreshes itself and i can then go back in and open the partition e: with no error. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?
