I have a HDD (C) as my primary master and a Sony DVD (F) reader as the primary slave. I have a Plextor burner (E)as my Secondary master and no secondary slave. The jumpers are ok and my problem is that sometimes my Sony DVD disappears when I insert a dvd disk. I have to reboot and it comes back again until it wants to disappear again. The Asus P4C800E deluxe mobo bios shows it when it is booting up and I can see it with the explorer so I know it disappears when the dvd disk is inserted. Does anyone know why it does this?? I noticed in the device manager that there is a DVD region and nothing is selected yet. Do I have to select USA or just leave it unslected? TIA
