I just burned my first audio CD using Vista's Media Player. It plays in the computer and my car CD player, but will not load/play in my home DVD player. Any ideas why? Other purchased audio CDs play OK in all.
It could be a couple reasons. Some older DVD players won't played burned CD's or it could be that it was burned as an MP3 CD not an audio CD, meaning cars with newer stereos and computers could read it, but most DVD players would not.
There is a difference between putting music on a cd and burning it as data, and putting music on there and burning it as an audio cd.
I did burn it as an audio CD as directed by Windows Media Player instructions, not as a raw MP3. The DVD player is fairly old so that may be the problem; however, it would be nice to know why it won't play a burned CD.
